Self-acceptance and self-respect often come later in life. Our model Gwilym hasn't always had the best experience with his appearance:

"Red hair is always special and unique. In the 80s and 90s, my hair color was definitely not cool. Today, I'm happy with my unusual appearance. Being who I am. When you're young, you don't want to be different from everyone else, you want to be like them. Later, you start to experiment more and learn to accept yourself as you are. It's important to always be proud of yourself and grateful for the unique qualities that nature has given you."

In this video, model Gwilym explains why it's important to keep your look unique:

A unique look can conquer the fashion world

Albino twins Lara and Mara Bawar have done it and are rapidly transforming the fashion world. The Brazilian twin sisters not only have the perfect model size, but also an incomparable appearance. Lara and Mara's parents are from West Africa and have dark skin. Due to a genetic mutation that causes albinism, their daughters have pale white skin. Swiss photographer Vinicius Terranova captured these twins for his photo project "Flores Raras" (Rare Flowers). The images show the albino twins as beautiful sisters who have mastered their unique differences at such a young age.

Through this photo, the two sisters demonstrate tolerance and diversity. Being unique is something to be proud of.

Red hair: a unique look

All unusual looks must be extreme or extraordinary. Sometimes, all it takes is a rare natural feature. For example, redheads are unique simply because of the rarity of their hair color, often accompanied by pale skin and freckles. Only 1% of the world's population is redheaded. Red-haired women are considered exotic beauties, and their unique looks captivate on the catwalk. Many red-haired models and icons can be found in the fashion and film industries, such as actress Julianne Moore, model Lily Cole, and fashion designer Vivienne Westwood.

Prince Harry, musician Ed Sheeran and model Gwilym Pugh are male representatives of this fascinating look.

Natural vs. Dyed Redheads

Natural red or dye?

Many women dye their natural red hair to achieve a deeper, more vibrant color. It's also a great way to change your hair color. A simple color or rinse can even enhance the shine of your hair. Blondes like actress Christina Hendricks or brunettes like singer Florence Welch have transformed themselves into striking beauties with the help of hair color. Dark hair gets an attractive copper glow with an intense rinse or color treatment. There's no specific shampoo for red hair, but "color-protecting" shampoo prevents the color from fading from your hair. Because whether natural or colored, the red pigment is very sensitive to light.
